Month of Prayer and Fasting - January 2026

Do you believe that God is still speaking today? Do you believe that He actually wants you to know what He is trying to communicate?

Every January, as a church, we take time to pray and fast together. This year, there will be an emphasis on hearing God’s voice, discerning God’s voice, and co-laboring with God in the ways that He speaks. We believe what the Bible says about this in the book of John -  “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” We are looking forward to all that God is going to do! First Sunday Fellowship

We’re planning some times of extended fellowship before our Sunday meetings. You’re invited to join us at 9 AM for coffee, juice, and donuts in the multi-purpose room on Sunday, January 4th. There’s no agenda, other than being together and making time for relaxed conversations and deeper connections. Hope to see you there!

Giving Together

We want to be ready and able to give when God puts a need in front of us! Giving Together is our year end offering that enables us to do just that! This offering funds our local, national, and international mission budget. Everything given on November 23rd will go towards this offering, but we will continue to collect for this fund until January 1st. Let’s respond to God’s great generosity by asking Him to make us increasingly generous! Give by clicking the link below and choosing “Giving Together”.

Christ’s Church Youth

This Sunday, January 4th there will be a Youth Group Gathering! Kids 6th-12th grade are invited to come learn from God’s word, worship together, and spend time fellowshipping at the church building! If you have any questions, contact Landen Summers at 816-529-5832. 6pm-8pm!

Perspectives

Do you desire to be empowered for God's Global purpose? The Perspectives course invites believers into a transformative journey that goes beyond knowledge, igniting a passion to join God in His extraordinary mission to bless all peoples of the earth. Beginning in January, Christ's Church will host the life changing Perspective's course where participants discover how they can align their hearts with God's heart for all people.  God has a unique role for each Christian in His global purpose of evangelizing the nations. This isn't about moving somewhere "else' to be a missionary. This course is about clarifying each believer's remarkable opportunity to join God in His global purpose right where they are. Evenings at Christ’s Church

As we grow up into Christ, we believe that God is going to add to our community. We’ve seen the evidence of this already, and our evening meeting is one way that we are endeavoring to show hospitality to new comers on Sunday mornings! We are asking you to pray and ask the Lord if this evening meeting is what He has for you! This meeting is more interactive and conversational in nature, with acoustic worship and childcare available for younger children. If someone is unable to attend a Sunday morning gathering due to work or schedule conflicts, this could be the perfect place for them to plug in.
